Orange County Automation ("we," "our," or "us") operates orangecountyautomation.net and provides automated communication services for local home-services businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide directly
- Contact form submissions: name, email address, phone number, and the content of the message you send.
- Inbound calls and SMS: your phone number, the time of the call or message, and any content you transmit.
- Email correspondence: any information you include when you write to us.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Timestamps and basic delivery metadata for automated messages we send on behalf of our clients.
- Workflow execution logs, retained for up to 14 days for diagnostic purposes.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to inquiries you submit through a contact form, phone call, or text message.
- To send service-related SMS or email messages (acknowledgments, callbacks, appointment reminders, follow-ups) directly tied to a request you initiated.
- To classify the intent of inbound messages so a human can prioritize urgent matters.
- To diagnose and fix problems in our automated workflows.
3. SMS messaging program
No third-party sharing of SMS data. We will not share your mobile information, phone number, or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of information described in this policy exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information is not shared with any third parties.
3.1 How you opt in
You opt in to receive SMS messages through one of three explicit actions:
- Web contact form: by submitting a form that includes a clearly-labeled SMS consent checkbox.
- Inbound phone call: by calling a business that uses our missed-call text-back service; an automated reply is sent only to the number you just called from.
- Inbound SMS: by texting a business's number first; our reply is sent only to your originating number.
3.2 Message frequency, rates, and content
- Message frequency is event-driven, typically 1–3 messages per service interaction.
- Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details.
- Messages include acknowledgments, callback notices, appointment reminders, and replies classified by intent (urgent, reschedule, cancel, question, other).
3.3 How to opt out
You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. We also accept UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, and OPTOUT. After you opt out, you will receive one confirmation message and no further texts.
3.4 How to get help
Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or email us at support@orangecountyautomation.net.
3.5 Carrier disclaimer
Wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon, are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
4. Information sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers: we use Telnyx for SMS delivery, Resend for email delivery, Anthropic for AI message classification, and Hetzner for server hosting. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments. They do not use your information for their own marketing.
- Our clients: if you contacted a business that uses our automation platform, we forward your message and contact details to that business so they can respond to you.
- Legal compliance: if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights or safety of people or property.
We do not share SMS opt-in data or consent records with any third party for marketing.
5. Data retention
- Message and form-submission data is retained as long as it is needed to provide service to the business that received your inquiry.
- Workflow execution logs are retained for 14 days and then automatically pruned.
- SMS opt-out records are retained indefinitely so we honor your opt-out across future interactions.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect information in transit (TLS) and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to reduce risk through least-privilege access, encrypted credentials, and routine review.
7. Children's privacy
Our services are not directed to anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email support@orangecountyautomation.net.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
